The rust inside the switch box of the used motor component has been cleaned

The inside of the switch box is rust

It is beautiful when viewed from above, but the back side of the brake lever and the light switch was black with dust and oil.It is difficult to remove because it is oil stains to clean it, it is difficult to wipe the fine gaps with a west, and above all, it is difficult to clean it in the first place.I was frustrated, and I started breaking down.

The inside of the switch box is rust and brown

Although it was not dirty than I thought when I opened the switch box, it was brown.Although I was light, it was a dangerous feeling that it was rusty.

You can close it quickly because you didn't see it, but if you look at it, you will want to do something. It seems that if you do not do something now, you will not be able to get it back.

 That's why I tried rusting.

Use a lubricant to remove the screw

When I removed the turn signal lever in the switch box, the rust had not progressed yet.I want to return to this state at least.

The fixed part of the turn signal lever remains.Carefully remove the rusted screw

The part where the lever was fixed was a metal plate and was fixed with two screws. This screw is also rusted as a matter of course, and there is no sign of turning as it is.

In such a case, it is the turn of Wako's Laspene, a wako chemical, a permeated rust -prevention slapstick that I love.A few minutes to spray it on a rusted screw and wait. Most screws can be removed by applying the driver slowly while pressing the driver.

The damage caused by rust was amazing, and when I was riding a military car called M151A2, I twisted a bolt with a diameter of about 1 cm that fixed the antenna bracket.

I used a box wrench, but what I didn't turn was suddenly a quick response, and did it come off?I thought it was cut off on the way.Even more, there is no such thin screw. It is good to make the lubricant penetrate firmly without forcing it to take it off.

The switches are also apart and cleaned

When I removed the metal plate, the wiring came into view.Winder and horn wiring.

The lower left is a light switch board, the black one in the middle is the turn signal switch, and the lower right is the horn button.I can see dirt and garbage

I thought that rust alone would have little dirt, but that's not the case. The inside is quite dirty. In particular, the horn button was terrible, and something like cotton garbage was caught.

Pull the horn button board with radio pliers and take out with the turncarth switch.

The upper square part is the turn signal switch, the lower plate is the horn contact substrate.

If the wiring is rusted, it must be cut and soldered, but it doesn't seem to be so bad.

From the bottom. The white parts in the turncarse switch move left and right, and the middle, right, middle and left terminals are shorted.

The turn signal switch contained white parts with metal plates. On the other side is the insertion of the turn signal lever, and when the lever is moved to the left and right, this part moves left and right, and the main and left and right terminals are shortened to operate the turn signal.

If you look closely at the bottom of this white part, you can see that there are three V -shaped grooves in the case. The white parts are incorporated in the metal ball pushed by the spring, and the ticking is attached to the groove, so it stops perfectly between the left and right and the center.Because the groove in the middle is large, it stops more powerfully than the left and right.

Be careful not to fly the ball when rose.Since I was pulled out without any mind, I did it.

The contact point of the switch was also black

The metal plate attached to the white slide parts was pushed by a spring from behind. It feels like pressing against the contact.

I took out white parts. The contact is pushed by a spring from behind

The hole containing this spring is penetrated, and the opposite side is a clicking metal ball. Both were pressed with one spring. That's reasonable.

The turncars switch is quite dirty and the contacts are rusty. It is in a state where it is not strange to have poor contact.

There are three terminals on the case side, the left and right are turn signal lamps, and the middle is connected to the turn signal relay. The lever is inserted from the slit in the back, and the turn signal operates by shorting the lamp and the relay with the lever moving metal plate.

I didn't intend to disassemble the switch, but the inside was quite dirty and the contacts were dark, so it might have been the correct answer.Polish the rust at the contact with a paper and blow the contact resurrection agent.

Wash the switch box with a brake cleaner

The upper half of the switch box was more beautiful than I expected, but the lower half was quite dirty.

The inside of the box gets dirty with dust and rust

The dry part of the lower left and the right is brown, so it looks dark because it is wet with a lubricant that was sprayed earlier. Is brown dust?It seems that the rust from the lever etc. is also mixed.

The box itself is not rusted, but the rust moves and the place where the lever is rubbed is brown.

I sprayed the brake cleaner and removed the dirt with a brush

Spray the brake cleaner used when polishing the upper half of the box, and rub off the dirt with a brush or cotton swab. When it becomes beautiful to some extent, spray it with a shoe shoe so that the brake cleaner flows down. After repeating it a few times, it became much more beautiful.

After that, remove the dirt in the same way.

Use a rusted agent for lever and screws

The metal plate and the screws that have fixed the turn signal lever and the lever have a terrible rust, so rusted with a rusted agent called "Nejizaul Slikid", a manufacturer called engineer.

Put rusted parts in a beaker and pickle screwsaul slikid. It reacts with rust and becomes purple

The screwsaul slikid at home is a foam type that is easy to use even with the screw attached. This time, the parts were broken, so put the parts in the beaker and spray it with a shoe.

The main component is ammonium thioglycolate, which returns the rust, which is an iron oxide, is deprived of oxygen and separated it as an iron powder. When it reacts with the rust, it becomes very dark purple and has an ammonia odor, but it is easy to the skin because the pH is almost 7 neutral.

The reaction time is enough for a small rust for about 10 seconds. When it is terrible rust, soak it for dozens of minutes. If you overdo it, it will be dyed black, even if the rust falls, so stop it to some extent and wash it off with water, and spray the raspene as it will rust again.

Sabisabi turn signal lever.Rusted rust + rusted tool chemical & physical attack removes rust

It's shiny enough to make a mistake! The dots and darkness are the part that is dented by rust.Maybe it was dyed by rusting

The rust removal of the attached part like the screw is now complete.Flat parts such as screw heads and lever were further polished with the impact driver's rusted tool.

Assemble the beautiful parts again

The lever for locking with the rear brake removed first is also dobon to the screwsaul sliked.

A lock lever that you do not want to touch with dirt and rust. This is also chemical processing

The pin is a little dull, but the other parts are shiny

After waiting for a few minutes and washing water, I regained the shine to make a mistake.Especially nuts and E -rings are the same as new ones. After that, if you reassemble, cleaning is completed.

The first state again.Rabbisabi

This is after the rust is dropped. The dirt on the fine part has not been removed, but it became completely beautiful compared to the beginning.

The back side that was black ...

In a pretty good appearance

It wasn't perfectly shiny, but I think it's pretty good compared to the initial state. In addition, I sprayed the raspene so that it did not rust. After that, it may be better to spray from the gap between the turn signal lever.

At first glance, it became beautiful

There are places where the whole is dull and the dirt has not been removed, but this was the limit. There are many parts that have already been discontinued because it is a motorcycle for 40 years since its release, but I would like to replace the parts that you can get new with new ones.
