Two months until the end of Galaxy Cloud. Let's move data to Microsoft OneDrive

Galaxy Cloud (Samsung Cloud for overseas version) will soon end support services for gallery synchronization and Drive storage.

Please note that these features will be supported by Microsoft OneDrive in the future.

Shutdowns are gradual and due dates vary by region.

In countries that belong to "Group 1", such as the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, and most of Europe, the first stage deadline has already passed (Japan is Group 2).

For Group 2 Japan, until June 30, 2021, if you choose OneDrive integration, the data stored in the Galaxy cloud will be transferred to OneDrive.

But don't worry if you miss the chance to transfer Samsung Cloud files directly to OneDrive.

In Japan, the data of Galaxy Cloud can be downloaded until August 31st.

You can check the progress of the download in the notification bar. Please note that the device needs enough space to store all the data you want to download.

Also, be careful not to press Cancel before the download is complete.

All downloaded files will also be canceled and you will have to start over.

How to download Galaxy Cloud data to your computer

Another way to save data in Galaxy Cloud is to download it to your computer.

This is the best way to do it if you have too much data to store on your smartphone.

This is because the hard drive of a personal computer has a much larger capacity. You can also easily move downloaded files to USB, Google Drive, OneDrive, iCloud.

To access the file, open the Galaxy Cloud website in your browser, or install the app for Windows 10 in Samsung Gallery and go to "App Settings"> "Samsung Cloud".
