Introducing the Teams app for Chromebooks. Please refer to articles 92 and 93 in this series for an overview of Chromebooks and installing and starting the Teams app. This time, we will introduce the launched Teams app from sign-in.
Sign in to the Teams app on your Chromebook
Start the Teams app and enter your Microsoft 365 username (email address).
(1) Enter your Microsoft 365 username. (2) Tap the "Sign in" button.
What looks like the taskbar in Windows is called the shelf in Chrome OS.

When I say "work or school account", I don't really mean a work or school account, but a Microsoft 365 commercial account managed in Azure AD. "Personal Account", on the other hand, means a free personal account (a Microsoft account) that is not subject to any organizational controls. For details, please refer to the 88th article of this series.
(4) Enter your password. (5) Tap "Sign in".
Show Teams guidance when using for the first time.
(6) Tap "Next" to advance the guidance.
You are now signed in.
Using the Teams app
The Teams app used on Chromebooks is the Android version used on Android smartphones and tablets. Therefore, the design has a vertical and simple layout for smartphones.
When you start up, it will be a chat page, and it will look like this.
(1) "Contact" button. (2) Message "filter" button. (3) "Search" box. (4) Create new message button. (5) Page switching buttons, etc.
In the Windows version and the web version of Teams, the toggle buttons displayed vertically on the left side of the window are displayed at the bottom of the window in this app.
(6) Tap the "Teams" button to switch to the team page.
(7) Tap "Schedule" to switch to the schedule page.
Switching between content table and content content
Tap a content from the content table displayed above to open that content.
(1) Tap the content you want to read to switch to the content display. (2) Click the "Return" button to return to the table of contents.
Switching between content table and content
Although the Chromebook Teams app is initially displayed in smartphone size, by enlarging the window, you can get closer to the usability of the Windows version of Teams. increase.
(1) Drag the right side of the Teams app window to enlarge the window.
If you expand the window width beyond a certain width, a pane (frame) will also be displayed on the right side, and the layout will be similar to Teams for Windows desktop apps and web apps. You can display the table of contents in the left pane and the contents in the right pane side by side.
(2) "Back" button. Close the content displayed in the right pane. (3) "Filter" button. (4) "Other" operation button. (5) "Post" tab to open chat. (6) List of contents (posts in the case of chat). (7) "New Post" button.
The back button doesn't make much sense with this layout. If you tap the "Back" button, the contents displayed in the right pane will disappear. (The window width remains the same, empty display)
To display it again, tap the content you want to display from the table of contents on the left pane.
If you narrow the window width to a certain size, it will return to the original smartphone-type layout.
